For 23 years, David, and his wife Helen, have been instrumental in brokering the best deals between developers or private owners and those looking to buy apartments and villas in Tenerife.

From small beginnings at the height of the Tenerife property boom in the early 80’s, David worked with Pedro Luis Suarez Martin, owner and founder or Gomasper S.L., official building contractors for the government.

As a property negotiator, his knowledge base expanded rapidly over the 12 years he worked with the prestigious constructor. Dealing with such a variety of top class developments rewarded him with an unparalleled insight into the comparative values of Tenerife properties.

This expertise, along with an integrity that is unfortunately lacking in so many of the island’s other self-proclaimed experts, propelled Wood to the top of his profession.

His sales and marketing expertise grew to the extent that he became a partner in the largest independent estate agency group in the Canarian archipelago, selling properties for all the premier construction companies, and ultimately building the Horizon Property Group S.L. into what was then the leading estate agency group in the Canary Islands, covering Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and the Cape Verde Islands.

In 2006 David began to focus his efforts on both Mouse Move™, and David A. Wood & Associates, a company set up to introduce buyers and investors to only the most reputable developers and agents based abroad.
